Champions Hayes finally got their first win of the Kent Cricket League season on Saturday.

At the sixth time of asking, Hayes secured 18 points with a one-wicket success over Blackheath.

Invited to bat first, Blackheath posted 239-7 thanks largely to an unbeaten 80 in just 92 balls from Matthew Golding, who hit five fours and two sixes. Ross Richardson (46) and Tanweer Sikander (40) also contributed, along with a quickfire 31 at the death from Jahid Ahmed.

Hayes' reply got off to a solid start with the openers putting on 60 before Gareth Severin went for 37.

Miguel Barbosa made 43 and Kent's Alex Blake hit 47 but wickets fell at regular intervals. They appeared well placed at 238-7, but two quick wickets ensured a lively finish. Stuart Eddicott (18 not out) got them over the line with one ball to spare.

Golding continued a good day personally with 4-43 and Tanweer Sikandar took 4-38 while Kent's Arafat Bhuiyan bowled seven wicketless overs for 46, including 10 wides.

Joe Gordon's 62 not out led Lordswood to a five-wicket win at home to Bexley.

He shared a partnership of 101 with Ed Taylor, who made 60, as Lordswood chased down 179-9 in less than 39 overs.

Earlier, Abdullah Nazir had taken 3-26 with the ball for Lordswood and there were two wickets apiece for Jack Laraman and Calum MacLeod, against his former club.

Bexley's final total represented something of a recovery as they slumped to 56-6, George Haley (38) and Ahmed Jamal (42) led the comeback but their total proved well within reach for Lords.

It was a first defeat of the season for Bexley, leaving leaders Tunbridge Wells the only unbeaten side in the top flight.

Wells made it five wins out of six with a comfortable seven-wicket win at home to Sandwich.

The visitors opted to bat first but were soon struggling on 26-3. Tom Chapman (29) and James Bazley (36) steadied the ship but the innings quickly finished, going from 112-5 to 147 all out in less than 42 overs.

Matthew Barker bagged 3-15 in 10 overs, Calvin Johnson (2-32) and Govind Nair (2-35) were also among the wickets.

Wells' reply had already reached 52 by the time Kent's Marcus O'Riordan went for 19. Opener Christopher Williams eventually departed to Ben Smith (2-42) for 61 and that left Sam Smith (28 not out) to see his side over the line in just 25.1 overs.

Minster claimed only their second win of the summer, a stunning eight-wicket success at Sevenoaks Vine as they chased down a modest 143 in just 15.2 overs

Skipper Ed Moore hit four sixes and 13 fours in his 49-ball 88 as Minster raced to their victory target.

Fellow opener James Hockley hit 18 and James Thompson completed the job with an unbeaten 31, including three sixes.

Sevenoaks never recovered after going from 44-1 to 66-4 despite an unbeaten half-century from Sahil Shah.

Chris Piesley's four-wicket haul (4-17) mopped up the tail as they slipped from 127-5 to 143 all out. Aron Nijjar (2-36) and Hockley (2-21) were also among the wickets.

St Lawrence chased down their target at Holmesdale in similiar quickfire fashion.

Holmesdale were dismissed for 193 in the 48th over, Oliver Curtiss taking 3-20 in 10 overs. Ben Mills took 2-27 and Charley Nash 2-36. Leo Carter (57) top scored with his side's only half-century.

Openers Nash (57) and Harry Wren put on 134 for the first wicket. Wren hit three sixes and 15 fours in his 45-ball 87.

Skipper Matt Hammond's 33 not out in 19 balls ensured they carried on at pace to get over the line, reaching 195-3 in just 19.2 overs.
