44 pregnant sheep stolen from field in Chapel Lane, Blean

More than 40 pregnant sheep have been stolen from a field by thieves.

The ewes were taken from the land in Chapel Lane, Blean, after fencing surrounding the site was damaged.

It is believed a total of 44 sheep - which were all expecting lambs - would have been loaded onto a truck.

The incident happened at some point between 6pm on Saturday and 6am on Monday.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the thefts or anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
