The Gulbenkian's 50 year festival is well underway with celebrations set to continue for the next two weeks.
The theatre at the University of Kent is hosting a selection of music and shows, with a range of performers and artists taking to the stage in what will be the 50th year since it opened.
On Saturday, June 8, at 7.30pm, the university's Musical Theatre Society will be showcasing 50 Years on Broadway with a selection of musical theatre hits from the past 50 years.
Following on from this, on Monday, June 10, T24 Drama Society will perform The Ace Face, a new play inspired by the mods and the rockers, written by Ben Durrant and Matt Willis.
Performances will continue until Saturday, June 22, when the festival culminates with The Canterbury Sound: A 50th Birthday Celebration, including music from curator John Harle, The Quartet featuring Syd Arthur, Caravan and Soft Machine among others.
