updated: 16:30, 09 November 2021

With prices varying from £295,000 to £5m, it's fair to say buying the most expensive house is easier in some Kent towns than others.

From a mansion recently owned by a much-loved TV duo, to a converted church - there is an incredible range of properties on offer.

At the upper end of the market are homes - often on a private, gated road - with their own cinema, gym, games room and swimming pool.

In another town, the priciest property is just £355,000 and has a pub right next door.

Here's the full list of the most luxurious homes on the market in every Kent town, according to Zoopla, including how much prices have changed where you live in the last 12 months...

Brought to fame as a hotel run by Gogglebox duo Steph and Dom, the Salutation has now been put on the market.

The Grade I-listed mansion set in 3.5 acres of land is described as being suitable for use as a grand private home.

Estate agents Rafferty & Pickard say: "Although the property would now benefit from updating, we feel it would make an unparalleled commutable country residence or exciting business venue for the new custodians of this extraordinary home."

Steph and Dom bought the sprawling estate in 2004 and after their appearances on the Channel 4 reality show, which began in 2013, opened it as a hotel in 2017.

But last year the company running the business went bust and all 33 employees were sent home. Liquidators stepped in the following month.
