A257 between Canterbury and Sandwich reopens after serious crash

A serious crash close to a former pub saw two men taken to hospital and shut an A-road in both directions.
Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle accident on the A257 between Canterbury and Sandwich.
The crash happened in Shattering between the Nash Road and Rusham Road junctions, not far from the former Frog and Orange pub.
Police were called at 3.15am and remained at the scene until about 10am.
The road has now fully reopened.
