Drivers heading towards Faversham and London from Canterbury are being warned to expect delays and to allow extra time for journeys.

Traffic is being diverted off the A2 at Wincheap, to then follow the A28 through Chartham and join the A252 at Chilham.

From there, drivers are instructed to continue to Challock and take the A251 towards Faversham and re-join the M2 at junction 6.

The stretch of road will be closed again tomorrow between 9am and 4pm.

Stagecoach bus services from Canterbury to Faversham are being diverted via Blean.
