Amazon delivery van stolen in Canterbury robbery

An Amazon delivery van filled with parcels was stolen in an afternoon robbery - only to be recovered 20 minutes later.
Police were alerted at 12.55pm on Thursday that the vehicle had been taken in Chaucer Road, Canterbury.
Officers rushed to the scene and arrested a man in Godden Road at 1.15pm. The van and its contents were also recovered.
Ronnie Mead, 33, of Hunton Gardens, Canterbury, has since been charged with robbery, driving without insurance and possession of cannabis.
He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, May 16.
