THE appeal for a new home will be highlighted when Canterbury's Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre holds an open evening at its headquarters in Merton Lane tomorrow (Friday) evening.
The event at 7.30pm is being attended by Canterbury MP Julian Brazier and some city councillors, who will be briefed on the appeal.
The centre, which offers treatment, advice and support to sufferers and their families, is trying to raise £1.4 million for a new building in a new location in the Canterbury area.
Manager Alison Foot said: "Donations so far total nearly £10,000, which is encouraging, but there is a long way to go.
"We are currently trying to find a new site on which to build the centre and once that has been secured, we are confident the appeal will gather pace."
