A sex beast who photographed himself raping one young girl and abusing another has been jailed for 14 years.

Under the extended sentence for public protection, Keith Livermore will not be considered for release until he has served two thirds.

It will then be for the parole board to decide if it is safe to free him. At the end of the term he will be on licence for a further three years.

When the 54-year-old pervert pleaded guilty to the offences last month, a man stormed the secure dock at Maidstone Crown Court, hammered on the glass and made threats before being restrained by police officers.

Livermore, of Colegates Court, Oare, near Faversham, admitted two charges of rape, four of sexual assault, two of taking indecent photographs of a child, one of making indecent photographs of a child and one of possessing indecent photographs of a child.

Simon Taylor, prosecuting, said the horrific offences were revealed after the youngest girl told her mother she was in discomfort because of what Livermore did to her. She was taken to hospital and examined.

When arrested and asked if he had raped the girl, he admitted he had. He also confessed that he had taken photographs.

“You have committed the gravest of sexual crimes. Two traumatised children had been exposed to long-term psychological harm" - Judge Jeremy Carey to Livermore

Livermore’s computer was examined and about 40 pictures showing the abuse of both girls were found.

Mr Taylor said a distinctive birthmark on Livermore’s stomach could be seen in the images.

It was also discovered that he had downloaded almost 1,400 child sex abuse images from the internet. He made searches for images of young girls and under-age sexual abuse.

The prosecutor said searches revealed the youngest girl’s knickers in a “trophy drawer” under Livermore’s bed.

Also found was a frilly skirt of another young girl he had previously been accused of abusing. He was acquitted by a jury.

Judge Jeremy Carey told Livermore: “You have committed the gravest of sexual crimes.” Two traumatised children had been exposed to long-term psychological harm.

Livermore will be banned from working with children and his name will appear on the sex offenders’ register for life.

As he was led away to the cells, a woman shouted “scum” and “dirty pig”.
