Popular restaurant chain Bill’s has plans to open a new site in Canterbury.
An official application for the 150-seat restaurant in Rose Lane has been submitted to the city council.
If approved, it will convert the former Mappin and Webb jewellers shop before opening.
The plans, which have been put forward on behalf of Whitefriars Shopping Centre by agent Barton Willmore, will see Bill's occupy both ground and first floors of the city centre unit.
Mark Harris, of Barton Willmore, said: "This would represent a new attraction to the city centre.
"The introduction of a new national restaurant operator to the city centre will further improve the catering offer, contributing to its diversity and providing further draws for visitors and shoppers."
The proposed restaurant will open from 8am to midnight from Monday to Saturday and 9am to 11pm on Sunday.
Bill's currently has restaurants in Maidstone and at Bluewater shopping centre.
