A peculiar plane trail has been spotted in the skies above Kent this morning.

In what looks like a haphazardly drawn squiggly line, the bizarre vapour trail has been seen by hundreds across Canterbury, Maidstone, Sittingbourne and Thanet.

Diana Wilson, from Sturry, saw the extraordinary sky as she looked out of her bedroom window.

"I've never seen anything like it before - it was very strange," she said.

"It almost looked like someone had waved a Chinese ribbon in the sky.

"I've seen many trails behind planes before, but this looked completely different.

"It was very bizarre."

It is not known why the plane trail seems to be so out of control.
