Bomb alert off Folly Farm Gardens, Canterbury after discovery of suspected wartime device

The discovery of a suspected wartime device sparked a bomb alert this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a building site off Folly Farm Gardens, Canterbury, after what was believed to be a Second World War munition was found.
The Army was called in to help and at about 6pm the device was detonated in a controlled explosion.
It was carried out by members of the Royal Logistics Corps.
