A bus firm which serves Kent will be limiting the number of customers on board.
Stagecoach has warned passengers they might have to wait for the next service.
The company will have "bus full" signs displayed on the front if the vehicle has too many customers on board.
People are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to try to travel at off-peak times, where possible.
On the Stagecoach website, it states: "Please be kind and look out for other passengers who might need to travel more urgently than you."
Posters are displayed at bus stops which give guidance on how to travel safely.
Customers have been advised to pay via contactless card, travelcard or mobile ticket where possible.
Passengers have been told to sit in the window seat - leaving the seats in front and behind empty - and will not be allowed to stand.
Only one person can sit in a double seat, unless you're with a member of your household.
Once seated, the firm advises passengers open a window to help with ventilation.
As per government advice, people have been told to wear a face covering.
