A vehicle has hit a level crossing barrier, causing rail disruption throughout the day.
The Chilham crossing near Canterbury was struck early this afternoon, with Southeastern tweeting about the incident at 12.30pm.
Initially the travel contractor warned that "trains between Ramsgate and Ashford International are being delayed and may be revised."
But at about 4pm the operator said services were running to normal timetables again following several hours of delays.
An update posted quickly afterwards noted: "Trains are able to run through #Chilham at a slower speed than normal so there may be slight delays through the area."
