A car has flipped onto its roof in a crash at a roundabout, which was the scene of a fatal collision just weeks ago.

An overturned red Mini Cooper could be seen near the Old Gate Inn in New Dover Road, Canterbury, this morning.

It comes weeks after an 18-year-old died when the car she was in crashed into the pub.

Just two days later, emergency crews were called to yet another accident at the spot, when a car smashed into a lamppost.

Of the most recent incident, police confirmed they were called to a one-car collision in New Dover Road shortly after 7am today.

"Officers attended and assisted with traffic management and the recovery of the vehicle," a spokesman for the force said.

It is understood no serious injuries were reported and the road was cleared by 10.30am.

Earlier this month, the heartbroken family of 18-year-old Lucy Billingham, who died in the car accident off the roundabout in New Dover Road, said she was “so beautiful, inside and out”.

The teenager was in a Ford Fiesta that crashed into the Old Gate Inn pub in the early hours of Saturday, December 3.

She had been out at a nightclub and was on her way to a hotel less than a mile away from where tragedy struck.

Four others in the car were taken to hospital for treatment with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been bailed.

Two days after the tragedy, police and paramedics were called to another crash near The Old Gate Inn.

"There was a report that a car collided with a lamppost," they said.

"Two people were treated by ambulance crews at the scene."

An ambulance spokesman confirmed paramedics attended, but "no one required further hospital treatment".
