Firefighters tackle caravan fire in Cornwallis Avenue, Aylesham
20:20, 03 May 2017
A safety cordon was set up around a caravan blaze after a gas cylinder was discovered.
Fire crews were called to Cornwallis Avenue in Aylesham at just after 5pm.
They used a hose reel jet and main jet with water also taken from a hydrant to tackle the blaze, which also involved an LPG cylinder.
A safety cordon was set up and the cylinder was allowed to vent safely, while being monitored from outside the cordon.
Crews also used a cooling jet on the cylinder to bring the temperature down.
