CCTV images released of man with Deliveroo bag after teenage girl ‘touched inappropriately’ in Canterbury

Police have released CCTV images of a man carrying a Deliveroo takeaway bag after a teenage girl was reportedly touched inappropriately.

The sexual assault is said to have happened in Station Road West, Canterbury, on the afternoon of August 29.

A teenage girl was walking when she was approached by a man who tried to kiss her and touched her inappropriately, police say.

A 26-year-old man from the city has since been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and bailed while the probe continues.

Officers have now released three images of a man they would like to identify.

The pictures show a bike rider wearing a distinctive hoodie and carrying a green Deliveroo bag.

A police spokesman added: “Anyone who recognises the man, or has any other information, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting 46/146284/24.

“You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or complete the online form on their website.”
