An elderly man was rescued from a river by passing school children after falling from his mobility scooter and into the water.
Details of the dramatic rescue in Canterbury have been disclosed by the man's family, who are desperate to find those who saved his life.
His daughter-in-law, Mandy Sands, says he was submerged under the water after entering the River Stour near the Millers Arms pub in Mill Lane.
She has shared an appeal on the Canterbury Residents Group Facebook page in a bid to track down his rescuers.
"Are your children heroes?" she wrote.
"We are looking for some school children who pulled my father-in-law out of the river at The Millers Arms, Canterbury, yesterday (Friday, November 8) around lunch-time.
"He was submerged and owes his life to them having fallen off his mobility scooter and rolled into the river.
"If you know these young people, please contact me. We are extremely grateful."
