A crash victim is being cut from her car after being hit by another vehicle at a notorious accident blackspot.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, is thought to live in Pean Hill, Blean, where the incident occurred at about 8.45am.
It is reported that she was struck by a Ford Fiesta travelling from the Canterbury direction as it rounded a bend.
The red car - thought to be a Smart Car - flipped onto its side, leaving wheelie bins scattered in the road.
Fire crews are at the scene using hydraulic cutting equipment to free her from the wreckage.
The road - which has been blighted by a number of serious crashes in recent years - has been shut off in both directions by police.
Traffic has backed up along the road towards Whitstable.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a collision involving a red Ford Fiesta and a red Smart car at 8.52am.
"Injuries are believed to be minor. The road is closed in order to recover vehicles."
