Crews were called to tackle a house fire in the early hours of this morning.
Three fire engines arrived in Querns Road following a call just after 2am.
The flames were coming from a first-floor bedroom in the front of the house.
A fire service spokesman said: "The crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire and worked well to bring the fire under control and prevented it from spreading and taking hold in the roof space.
"This also prevented any spread to neighbouring properties."
The scene was clear just after 5am.
