12:26, 21 August 2024
Traffic was delayed after a horse wandered onto one of Kent’s busiest roads.
Police were called to the A2 near Barham, in Canterbury, just after 10am today.
Stephanie Whittaker was on the road before the animal had been reunited with its owner.
She said the delay was no more than 10 minutes.
Pictures show the horse near the side of the road, with two people keeping it away from traffic.
Officers attended and, with assistance from members of the public, the horse was located and returned to its owner.
