A new Detroit-style pizza restaurant is set to open its first branch.
Square Peg Detroit Pizza will open in the Pork & Co unit in Sun Street, Canterbury, which has been vacant since the takeaway closed down in June.
The new restaurant, which is next to Chuck and Blade Burgers, has unveiled distinctive red 'coming soon' signs in its windows.
The eatery hopes to open its doors to customers in January and describes itself as "Kent's first Detroit pizza joint".
Alongside the Canterbury branch, the chain has also hinted at plans to open at another Kent location, with a Facebook post from December 6 saying: "Deep Dish Detroit Style Pizza coming to Canterbury and Rochester soon".
Detroit-style pizzas are known for their rectangular shapes and thick, crispy cheesy crusts.
Its predecessor Pork and Co closed after 13 years when its lease expired in the summer.
The chain, known for its pulled pork, decided to scale back, but still has branches in Whitstable and Margate.
