The owner of a Chihuahua which disappeared from a house in Herne Bay four days ago fears it may have been stolen.
Five-year-old Otis went missing from Kings Road on Thursday night and has not been seen since – despite a Facebook campaign and the search efforts of his devastated owner Izzy Chase-Philmore.
The 29-year-old singer - who has had Otis since he was nine weeks old – says her mum discovered he was gone at about 11pm
She said: “My mum thought he was up in bed. My nephew left the house at about 7pm so we assume Otis just walked out after him. That’s the only thing we can think of.
“We were out until 4am looking for him. We went around the whole town shouting his name.”
The following morning Izzy contacted local vets, put posters up around the town and set up a Facebook page in the hope of finding Otis.
There have been two unconfirmed sightings of a small dog since – one near Herne Bay train station that morning and another in Grafton Rise.
Council contractor Serco has also joined the search but Otis has still not been found.
As the days pass, Izzy says she is almost certain he has been taken by someone.
She said: “Otis is really, really bold and confident and loves people.
“He’s not the type to hide in bushes, so if he was still out and about in the town someone would have seen him - his face has been everywhere.
"I think somebody must have picked him up and wants to keep him, which is understandable because he’s a lovely dog, but he’s my dog.
“If it’s about money I’ll find it, no questions asked. I just want him back.
“It’s so upsetting to think what might have happened to him. It’s driving me crazy thinking about every scenario.
“I’ve had him for five years every day. I can’t tell you what it’s like not to have him here. He’s such an amazing dog. He’s my best friend."
If you have seen Otis or have any information about where he could be call Izzy on 07743 061429.
