Drink-drive arrest after three-vehicle crash on A28 Island Road between Canterbury and Thanet

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a three-vehicle crash which destroyed a BMW which was being test driven.
The crash happened on the A28 Island Road, Upstreet, yesterday afternoon.
Three people were taken to hospital following the horrific crash, between Canterbury and Thanet, with one person suffering broken ribs.
None of the injuries are described as life-threatening.
Officers who were called to the scene outside Hersden just after 2pm say they have arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of drink driving.
The man, who is from Thanet, has now been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
A van, which sports branding for the Clear Channel advertising company, collided with a white BMW before coming to a halt in a neighbouring field.
Pictures of the aftermath show the extent of damage caused to the BMW 1 Series, with the front end being a crumpled mess.
The BMW was reportedly being test driven at the time of the crash.
