Two-week A2 overnight closure at Canterbury from Upper Harbeldown to Bridge
14:11, 21 October 2022
updated: 15:55, 21 October 2022
A four-mile stretch of the A2 will be shut at night for the next fortnight.
Drivers are warned to plan ahead from Monday when the closure blocks journeys through Canterbury.
The dual carriageway will be shut from 8pm until 6am on weeknights, from Monday, October 24 to Friday, November 4.
The closure will be on the coastbound side of the A2 between Upper Harbledown and Bridge.
For traffic heading in that direction, a signed diversion will be in place at Brenley Corner - taking drivers via the A299 Thanet Way and A256 toward Whitfield roundabout.
The closure, enforced by National Highways, is to allow for resurfacing work to stretch between Nackington and Thanington.
