Duo to appear in court after five bins torched in Thanington, Canterbury

Two men are to appear in court this month after a night of vandalism in which bins were set alight.
The five dustbins were torched at Cockering Road, Thanington, Canterbury.
A car was also reported damaged and registration plates from vehicles were stolen,
This was during the evening of Sunday, January 7, and into the early hours of the next day.
On January 10 police stopped a vehicle and three people were arrested.
Finally, last Thursday (Sep 12) charges of aiding and abetting arson, and aiding and abetting criminal damage were authorised against Adam Kardo, 18, of Redberry Road, Ashford.
He is due to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 26.
An 18-year-old man from Faversham has also been summonsed to attend the same court hearing to face theft and criminal damage allegations. It is then he will be formally charged.
A 16-year-old boy from Canterbury who was arrested at the time was cautioned after admitting his involvement in the offending.
