A group describing themselves as 'angry, white and proud' set up a protest outside a former army barracks.
The South East Alliance were demonstrating at the Howe Barracks in Canterbury - which is now closed - against the conversion of the former army base to housing for London families.
The group pinned Union Jack flags and St George crosses to the perimeter fence during yesterday's protest.
The protest comes after the announcement last month that almost 150 families from a London borough were set to move into the council homes in the barracks.
Canterbury City Council - which has 2,500 people on its housing register - says it submitted a “robust and comprehensive” bid to secure the homes for local people, but lost out to the London Borough of Redbridge – 60 miles away in the north east of the capital.
