Channel 5 show This Week on The Farm visits The Wonky Parsnip vegetable farm in Chartham, Canterbury
06:00, 28 July 2020
A Kent farm specialising in growing quirky vegetables will appear on TV tonight.
Channel 5 programme This Week on The Farm paid a visit to The Wonky Parsnip, in Chartham, to film an interview with owner Laura Brady.
Laura, who farms about 150 different types of vegetables in the summer, will appear alongside hosts Jules Hudson and Helen Skelton.
Extravagant food from across the globe is grown at the farm off Cockering Road, including yellow peas, a Mexican tomatillo and six types of courgette.
Laura said: "There are so many different varieties of things out there that people don't know exist as no one is growing them but they taste so much better than the kind of veg you find in the supermarket so I decided I might as well try and grow them."
This Week on The Farm will air tonight (Tuesday) at 8pm on Channel 5.
