A fault on a train has caused major disruption this evening and blocked one of the lines.
The train developed a fault near Canterbruy East meaning the line towards Dover was blocked between Faversham and Canterbury East just before 5.30pm.
The train with the fault arrived at Canterbury East where it terminated and had to wait for a train to attach to it to clear the line.
Those who were set to use these trains can now use their train tickets on Stagecoach buses including the 3, 3A between Faversham and Canterbury and the 15 between Canterbury and Dover.
Disruption is possible between Faversham and Dover until approximately 7pm.
The first train to run through from Faversham will be the 4.45pm Cannon Street to Dover via Chatham.
