Firefighers rush to kitchen fire in Tower View, Chartham

A woman has been checked for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire in Chartham.
Firefighters were called to a property in Tower View at 4.31pm yesterday afternoon following reports of a cooking fire.
Crews went into the property wearing breathing apparatus, but no firefighting action was needed.
The woman, in her early 20s, was given a precautionary check at the scene by ambulance crews after breathing in smoke.
Two fire engines attended the scene and left at 4.49pm.
