Fire at Military Road, Canterbury
11:42, 24 March 2018
Fire crews had to force their way into a derelict building to douse flames after smoke was seen coming from the property.
They were called to Military Road in Canterbury at 7.30am, and closed one lane on the approach to the Chaucer roundabout.
Hydraulic cutting tools had to be used to get into the building, and the firefighters wore specialist breathing masks while battling the flames.
It was found to be a small fire inside, and a main jet was used while the crews made the area safe. They left the scene at 8.30am.
