Garden wall and scaffolding damaged in early morning Tankerton crash
11:11, 15 August 2011
Scaffolding on a semi-detached house was left teetering after a car collided with a garden wall in Tankerton on Sunday morning.
An accident at 4.50am in the High Street opposite the Tesco Express store caused the damage, but police are not treating it suspiciously.
Police patrols remained at the scene until noon while building control officers from the city council carried out inspections to ensure the scaffolding was safely secured.
A woman whose car was involved in the accident reported the incident immediately and remained at the scene to provide police with her details.
Nobody was injured in the accident.
