Gas leak closes part of hospital

Firefighters and the police closed off part of the Kent and Canterbury Hospital after a gas leak on Saturday.
Workmen are believed to have ruptured a gas main at 2pm and it was another two hours before the area was declared safe.
Two fire engines from the Canterbury station attended.
People living in Ethelbert Road were warned to keep their windows closed while the situation was dealt with.
