Canterbury: helicopter deployed to search for missing four-year-old girl

A police helicopter was called out during a frantic search for a four-year-old girl.

The child, called Brooke, went missing this afternoon in the Realmwood Close area of Canterbury, near Spring Lane.

Her uncle, Dominic Hoe, posted an emotive plea on social media, sparking dozens of responses.

Writing on Facebook, he said: "My niece Brooke has gone missing if anyone has seen a short haired girl, 4 years old, quite tall for her age anywhere in Realmwood Close area near Spring lane.

"If anyone has seen her message me asap."

The police helicopter was deployed to help in the search.

She was found safe shortly after police were alerted.
