CCTV images released after man in his 80s is robbed in broad daylight in Sturry Road in Canterbury

Police have released images of a man they are trying to trace in connection with the robbery of an elderly man in Canterbury.

The victim, who is in his 80s, was threatened and had cash stolen from his wallet at 9am last Tuesday in Sturry Road, near the junction with South Street.

He was not injured during the incident.

Officers attended and are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify those responsible.

A 17-year-old boy from Canterbury was arrested on Wednesday, July 31, in connection and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
