Faversham Town manager Justin Luchford has resigned after three and a half years in charge of the team, which included winning promotion to the Ryman League last season.
Town have established a solid, mid-table position, but Luchford (pictured) quit the club on Wednesday, saying: "I feel let down. I have just been put into a bit of an untenable position."
He declined to comment further, but said he would elaborate in a statement to be issued later.
As for his future, Luchford said: "Football is a passion of mine, but I think the only problem is that it is so difficult to get back into, which made it a very difficult decision to make.
"I just felt I had to make the decision in the best interests of myself and the club."
He expected to take charge of the team for the final time in the home game against Fleet Town on Saturday, adding: "I just want to enjoy Saturday, hopefully get a win, and after that I will take stock."
