09:10, 21 December 2017
Canterbury MP Rosie Duffield has got engaged just days before Christmas.
The 46-year-old, who made the announcement on her Twitter page this morning, says 2017 will go down as a memorable year.
Ms Duffield became Canterbury's first ever Labour MP after defeating Sir Julian Brazier at the ballot boxes in June.
She will marry former maths teacher Michael Anderson - who is also ex-RAF - after he popped the question and she said yes.
The couple met two years ago at a Labour Party meeting.
Ms Duffield tweeted this morning: "Last day in Parliament before Christmas which has come a little bit early for me... 2017 will do gown as quite a memorable year."
