New forensics house unveiled at University of Kent's Canterbury campus

Students in Kent are to be given the opportunity to learn how the most complex crimes are solved through a new forensics house.

The house has been built at the University of Kent's Canterbury campus and has been set up to let learners practice evidence gathering which includes DNA.

Tests can now be done on DNA which is a thousandth of the size of a grain of sugar.

The new work space represents a £10,000,000 investment in the course.

The director of forensic studies, Bob Green, spoke to KMTV's Louisa Britton about how the role is different to how the TV shows portray it, as she took a tour around the brand new facility.
