Noami Thomas from Petham wins £1,000 on kmfm
19:14, 08 December 2017
Another lucky listener has had the best early Christmas present after winning £1,000 in cash on kmfm.
Naomi Thomas, from the village of Petham near Canterbury, took part in the Thousand Pound Friday on Drivetime with Rob Wills at 6pm.
She was gobsmacked when she received the telephone call, shouting “you’re joking” down the line when she was told the happy news.
Naomi was ironing at 11am when she listened to Andy Walker on kmfm in the morning and decided to enter the competition.
But she never expected to get a telephone call seven hours later to be told she was the winner.
The competition sees listeners enter in their thousands to win the cash jackpot, and with only three weekends left until Christmas the win couldn’t have come at a better time for Naomi.
It starts at 8am and runs until just before 6pm when one listener who has entered is chosen at random.
The competition usually runs on the last Friday of every month, but with Christmas coming kmfm is giving listeners even more chances to win the cash.
Naomi now plans to spend the cash on Christmas presents for her children.
