Ash police incident, Canterbury man arrested

A man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after armed police swooped on a village.
Police have also now revealed that a suspected air weapon was found.
Firearms officers had been called at 3.15pm on Friday to Chequer Lane in Ash after a man was reportedly seen with a weapon at a property there.
A Kent Police spokesman said today: "An 18-year-old man from the Canterbury area was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
"A suspected air weapon was located at the address.
" The man has been released on police bail while the investigation continues."
He was released on bail while the investigation continues.
A photograph taken at the scene showed a man in handcuffs being taken away by police.
The suspect had initially been placed in custody while enquiries continued.
