Man in hospital after suffering head injury during disturbance in Canterbury

A man is in hospital after being attacked in the centre of Canterbury last night.
Police were called to a disturbance involving a group of men outside the Seven Stars Inn in Orange Street in the city centre after the man was injured at about 7.40pm.
During the incident a man in his 30s was assaulted by two unknown men. He sustained a serious head injury and was taken to a London hospital where he remains.
One of the suspects is white, with a large build and short brown hair. He was wearing glasses and a white polo shirt at the time.
The second suspect is also white, with a slim build and short brown hair. He was wearing a navy blue polo shirt.
At present no arrests have been made however officers have spoken with numerous witnesses and reviewed available CCTV.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, and is yet to speak with an officer, is asked to get in contact at their earliest opportunity.
Investigators are also keen to receive video footage which may have been captured on a mobile phone, dashcams or privately held security cameras.
The area was cordoned off by police for a period of time while inquiries were carried out.
Witnesses said there were three or four police cars at the scene.
