09:31, 25 February 2013
A man was found dead in his Herne Bay home yesterday by one of his relatives.
Police and a private ambulance were seen parked in William Street at 10am by residents and officers entered some flats.
Kent Police spokesman Jane Walker said the death of a man in his 60s had been reported at 9.45am. There are no suspicious circumstances.
Staff in Greensteads cafe in William Street said they believed the man lived in flats above the shops.
DJ Carl Hyde, who took the picture above, said: "The only thing I could see was a policeman wandering in and out of the flats.
"There was no-one else around and then this private ambulace came round the corner. Soon it was gone."
