Man injured as car lands in ditch off M2 at Faversham
09:11, 05 February 2013
A man is being treated by paramedics after his car came off the M2 this morning and landed in a ditch.
Emergency crews were called to the scene between junctions 5 and 6 near Faversham at 8.25am.
Fire crews had to cut the roof off the car, which had left the coastbound carriageway after colliding with another vehicle.
Graham Jones, who drove past the scene shortly after the accident, said: "The car was an absolute mess. It didn't look good at all.
"There were loads of firefighters and the road was down to one lane. It was causing quite a tailback.
"The driver would have been lucky to escape with minor injuries."
Police and ambulance crews are still at the scene.
