Man pinned to tree by Vauxhall near to Howletts Wild Animal Park entrance

A man was left injured after being pinned to a tree by a car outside Howletts Wild Animal Park.
In an unprovoked attack, he was allegedly targeted by a driver of grey Vauxhall Insignia which had stopped outside the Canterbury attraction in Bekesbourne Lane.
As the victim passed the stationary car, which was parked up between gates two and three of the zoo, the driver began sounding his horn.
He signalled for the victim to stop and get out of his car before beginning to accelerate.
The victim was rammed into and pinned up against a tree at about 3.40pm on Monday.
The driver then made off and left the victim at the scene injured.
His injuries were deemed to be minor but his mobile phone was damaged in the incident.
Police have now launched an investigation into the unprovoked attack and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The alleged attacker driving the Vauxhall is described as being a white man, aged between 60 and 70.
Officers want also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage showing the grey Insignia prior to, or after the incident.
