A new Mexican restaurant is hoped to open in Canterbury this autumn.
Tortilla will be taking up residence in the former Sta Travel unit, midway down the high street.
The firm prides itself as the UK’s largest ‘fast-casual’ Mexican brand, with the menu offering tacos and burritos.
It has a growing number of sites and currently has one Kent branch at Bluewater.
Proposals to fit out the empty store were submitted at the end of last month, with applicants supplying visuals (see above) as to how the interior will look.
The plans - lodged with Canterbury City Council - will be decided upon in the coming weeks.
Bosses at Tortilla hope to open the restaurant in October.
Its impending launch in the city comes after the recent openings of Franco Manca, Herd, and the rooftop diner Socialite.
