An eatery specialising in street food is set to open on the site of a former Greek restaurant.
The business, called Street Food Pop-up, will welcome the first of its customers through its doors in Orange Street, Canterbury , at 1pm this Friday.
Run by City Feast, the premises will sell meals to eat in or takeaway served by vendors Radburger, Just Wing It and Churros Frescos.
Organiser George Bartlett said: "There will be a bar inside as well.
"It'll be a family-friendly area, but also a late-night place that will be open until 10pm and that'll change to 11pm when the restrictions go.
"We hope it'll be very popular and that it'll bring something new and exciting to the city."
The market will be operating out of the former Zeus Ouzeri & Taverna, which closed in June after trading for five years.
Mr Bartlett says the pop-up will remain at the prominent site until the end of the year, at which point its stay in the city could be extended.
Its launch comes after City Feast held a weekly outdoor street food market in Guildhall Street during the summer.
"The pop-up will be an extension of the market, but in an indoor space," Mr Bartlett added.
"It'll be eat-in with tables for six and takeaway.
"You'll be able to order via an app while you're either sitting in our waiting space or at a table.
"There'll be contactless ordering, track and trace and social distancing, so all of the restrictions will be adhered to."
Last weekend, the city's first indoor street food market, Sun Street Feast, closed after bosses claimed new coronavirus restrictions have made the hospitality industry "unviable" .
