A new "affordable" vintage clothing store is set to open.
Bounce Vintage - run by husband-and-wife team Rachel and Saul Kitchen - will open its doors in St Peter's Street, Canterbury, on Saturday, May 25.
The couple established their clothing store in 2012, initially trading online before opening a stall at the Courtyard Bazaar vintage market in the city.
In 2016, they opened their first shop in The Old High Street, Folkestone, before moving to a larger premises in Tontine Street last year - where they aim to offer quality vintage clothing in an "uncluttered" setting.
Now the couple has announced they are opening a store in Canterbury - where they first met and got married in the 90s, and where their love of vintage began.
Rachel and Saul said: "We are very excited and happy to be returning to Canterbury, as in many ways this is where it started.
"We are really looking forward to be being part of Canterbury's community, offering a warm welcome, a vibrant shopping experience and affordable, sustainable vintage style."
This month, KentOnline's sister paper the Kentish Gazette exclusively revealed plans to turn the derelict Nasons site in the high street - along with the premises currently occupied by Debenhams - into a "Brighton Lanes-style development".
Rachel said she hopes the development will boost the independent trade already on offer in the city.
She said: "I think it sounds really good - it's really good to have a kind of varied independent offering.
"Look at Margate which, like Brighton, has about 12 vintage shops. That creates a destination people might visit for vintage shopping.
"It would be really good if Canterbury grows as a destination for vintage shops - as I remember it being in the 80s and 90s.
"We've got so many tourists and students as well as residents. I think it will add to the offering that's already there."
Bounce is opening beside Barretts of Canterbury car dealer near Westgate Towers.
