Pensioner dies after crash in Woodville Close, Canterbury

A pensioner has died in hospital after being hit by a van in Canterbury.
Emergency services were called just after 10am last Tuesday following the incident in Woodville Close in Wincheap.
They airlifted the pedestrian, who was in his 70s, to a hospital in London but he has since died.
He was hit by a white Citroen Dispatch van and suffered a head injury.
Detective constable Barry Goodsell said: "We are appealing for witnesses who saw the collision or the vehicle and pedestrian beforehand, and who have not yet spoken to officers, to contact our appeal line as soon as possible.
"Any information could be really helpful to our investigation."
