One person has been flown to hospital with serious injuries following a two-car crash.
The air ambulance, along with police and fire crews, were called to the A252 at Chilham, outside Canterbury , yesterday evening at about 8.30pm.
It is thought a car pulling out of the Bagham Road junction, coming out from the village onto the main road, was hit by a van.
Eight ambulances were reported to be at the scene as part of a major response.
The A252, which merges with the A28, was closed for about four hours as a result of the crash.
The injuries sustained by the person flown to a London hospital are not deemed to be life-threatening.
Police say a number of other people were also taken to hospital for treatment.
The ambulance service has been approached for more information.
The road was reopened at 12.10am.
