A cheeky prankster abandoned his seat in the crowd as the Australian cricket side took on Kent – to pitch a tent in the outfield.

Lee Marshall – who goes by the name Disco Boy – attempted to gain front row seats as he rushed onto the pitch fully-clothed and unfolded the pop-up shelter.

As the players looked on bewildered, he disappeared inside the tent before emerging seconds later in just a pair of pink and purple boxer shorts and a Russian ushanka hat.

The joker – whose trademark move is to play half-naked disco sets in supermarkets – then waved to the crowd at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury before he was escorted off by security.

But he made sure to soak up his few seconds of fame, bounding off with #DiscoBoy scrawled across his bare chest.

Mr Marshall, who lives in Hersden, Canterbury, later tweeted: “Apparently camping is not allowed at #cricket. I just wanted a better view.”

The Aussies finished 348-3 at stumps.

It's not the first time Disco Boy has hit the headlines.

He describes himself as an "entertainer prankster DJ host" and has gained a huge social media following, with his video stunts watched by hundreds of thousands of people.

His targets have included McDonald's in Canterbury, Whitstable's Tesco, a hand car wash in Hersden and even Downing Street.
